Ski Season blossoming in the Mt Washington Valley

Our friends in the Mount Washington Valley have brought together all of the information needed to let us know which of the ski resorts there are open and when the others expect to be opening. That big storm that just went through the mid-west is now passing through that area bringing more snow in addition to the man-made that the resorts have been making.

This early in the season the number of trails open is bound to be limited but that also means that in many cases lift tickets prices are also reduced for a limited period of time. For example, a one day ticket at Attitash is $11, and a 2 day Attitash and Wildcat ticket is $45.99.

Here is the Latest pre-Thanksgiving word from the Ski Resorts of the Mount Washington Valley:

Attitash – Snowmaking is underway as temps allow. Anticipated opening day: Dec 9, 2017. Purchase tickets online early and save. Click here.

Black Mountain – Anticipated opening day: Dec 2, 2017. Check out the new Uphill Only season pass – just $99.

Bretton Woods – Open! 7 trails, 3 lifts. Base depth: 4″-12″. Snowfall to date: 5″. Snowmaking as temps allow. Mark the calendar: Celebrate a homecoming weekend, Nov 24-25th, with the screening of Warren Miller’s 68th film, “Line of Descent” plus beer tastings, BBQ and more.

Cranmore – Projected opening day: Nov. 24, 2017 with skiing & riding on 3 trails from the South Chair plus tubing and Adventure Park options. View Warren Miller’s “Line of Descent” in Zips Pub on Nov 24 & 25, plus Homecoming at Cranmore with Beerfest & sign auction on Nov. 25.

King Pine – Snowmaking has begun. Anticipated opening day: Dec 15, 2017. $99 Triple King Cards on sale from Black Friday to Cyber Monday only. Three any-day/all-lift tickets. Click here for more info.

Wildcat – Re-opening for daily operations on Thanksgiving Day with 6 trails, 1-2 lifts, base depths 4″-12″. Snowfall to date: 3″. Snowmaking to expand terrain as weather allows. Cans or Cash promotion, Sat & Sunday..

Here is the information for Cross-Country…They are not yet open but here is how to stay tuned:

Mt Washington Valley’s XC Centers will open as soon as Mother Nature allows, with early December dates in mind (fingers crossed!) Trails may not be open yet, but check out what’s happening at our XC Centers.

November 24-26: Bear Notch Ski Touring 22nd Annual Open House: Free Season Passes will be issued to anyone up to 18 years old. Preseason prices on 2017-2018 BNST adult membership. More info, click here.

November 25: Annual Great Glen Craft Fair: Local and regional crafters and artisans will take over the base lodge and are spread out on all three floors. Look for Woodworking, photography, knitting, specialty soaps and lotions, jewelry, wreaths, and much more—including live demonstrations.
